The library's philosophy follows Ilchester Elementary School's mission and vision statements. Therefore, we are dedicated to:

- providing a safe, nurturing learning environment
- meeting the academic needs of all our learners
- inspiring students to be caring members of our diverse community
- guiding students to becoming responsible, independent, and productive
- promoting a love of reading
